How to make this craft step-by-step:
Materials
To make a funny hanging tree you need:
- wooden trees to decorate
- solid gouache sticks
- 2 movable eyes, 2.5 cm diameter
- round stickers
- alphabet stickers
- a tube of strong white glue
- a black marker
Step 1
Paint the wooden tree using solid gouache sticks.
Here we used green, dark green, white (for shading) and brown.
Tip: solid gouache applies cleanly and dries almost instantly!
Step 2
Glue on 2 movable eyes and draw a small smile with the black marker.
Step 3
Personalise the tree by writing a name using alphabet stickers.
Step 4
Add baubles to the tree using coloured round stickers.
Step 5
Attach a cord to the top of the tree so it can be hung.
Note: the wooden trees come with cords.
