With two paper plates, some caterpillars, and a few colored stickers, children from 3 years old will be able to create a fun snail in the colors of autumn!
This easy autumn craft fosters creativity and fine motor skills while helping children discover the richness of leaf shapes.
A playful activity perfect for the season, combining nature observation and the joy of creating.
How to make this craft step-by-step:
Materials:
To make a lovely snail, you will need:
- 2 cardboard plates (Ø 15 cm)
- one brown caterpillar
- leaf-shaped stickers
- leaf-shaped kraft paper stickers
- fancy eye stickers
- brown paint + a brush.
- a white paint marker
- a stapler
Step 1:
To start, paint a small plate with brown paint.
Then let it dry for 20 minutes.
Step 2:
Fold the painted plate in half to create the body of the snail
Step 3:
Attach another white plate to the folded brown plate using a stapler. The white plate will serve as the shell.
Step 4:
Decorate the shell by sticking on foam stickers and stickers representing tree leaves to create an autumn decor.
Step 5:
Fold a caterpillar in half and staple it to the back of the brown plate to form the antennas.
Step 6:
Gently wrap the two ends of the pipe cleaner around the white paint marker to give them a spiral shape and a fun effect.
Step 7:
Stick two googly eyes on the snail's head.
Step 8:
And finally, draw a nice smile with the white marker to bring the snail to life.
